Coloratura soprano Fiona Nicholson is currently in her 2nd year of a Bachelor of Music at Monash University, majoring in Classical Voice Performance. She is also proficient in piano, reaching a Grade 7 standard through the Australian Music Examinations Board and has participated in the Kodaly Summer School Program at the University of Queensland.
Fiona has performed as soprano soloist In Handel’s Messiah with the Monash University Singers and has appeared with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra as an elite member of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Performances with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra include Handel’s Messiah, Verdi’s Requiem, concerts at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl and the Classical Spectacular in the Rod Laver Arena.
Fiona is thrilled to be making her orchestral debut with The Preston Symphony Orchestra and Victoria Chorale.
